Creative thinking in business

Humans automatically relate new things that happen with something within our experience. We are biologically primed to learn from past events .This is usually helpful to us as it lets us draw on our background and experience, and build on what we have previously learned.

We are naturally lazy thinkers and so we tend to think in clichés or established patterns. But this restricts our ability to think creatively and we have to actually force ourselves to think “outside the box“

ARBITRAGE BUSINESS OPPORUNITY

Introducing Services Arbitrage: The Perfect New Business For Non-Experts Looking For A Laptop Lifestyle Income Stream

By Yaro Starak
For seven years, from 2001 to 2007, BetterEdit.com was my main online business (I later sold it for $100,000 USD). It was also the first true Laptop Lifestyle online business I created, providing a full-time income stream I could take with me as I traveled the world.
When I sold BetterEdit in 2007 the contract I signed with the buyer included a ‘non-compete’ clause with a 24-month expiry. This meant I could not start up another online editing business for two years, which was fine by me.
However, the non-compete clause also meant I could not teach a course about how I built the business, revealing how others could leverage what I called the ‘Services Arbitrage‘ business model. This was something I had wanted to do for many years, but yet again it would have to wait for at least two years

3 Online Businesses Ideas

3 Online Businesses Ideas

your profile photo, Image may contain: 1 personIf you read this blog over a decade ago, you know that my first taste of living a Laptop Lifestyle came long before I started blogging – in fact blogs did not even exist back then, at least not the way we know them today.
It’s about 15 years since I first started sitting at cafes with my laptop, making money from the internet. I thought it would be fun – and potentially useful for you too – to review the three different business models I’ve applied to fuel a Laptop Lifestyle.
This is top of my mind right now because I’m focused on the opening of the Laptop Lifestyle Academy. I want people to realize that this lifestyle doesn’t have to come from blogging only.

Here are the four lies too many writers believe:

1. “I’ll write a book some day.”

If not now, when?
Most people say things like, “I want to write a book,” or even, “I’m working on a book.” I’ve said the same things. But how many people actually write one?
What if you never finish your books? What if you die with your books still trapped inside of you? And here’s a terrifying thought: Most people do die with their books unwritten. This happens all the time. Will you be one of them?
You have a chance to write your book. Isn’t it time you do it?
Writing a book is hard, but if you create a plan and stick with it, you will finish.
(Of course, sticking with it is really the hardest part. But that’s where a community comes in. More on that in a moment, though.)

“It doesn’t interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you ache for, and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart’s longing. It doesn’t interest me how old you are. I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool for love, for your dream, for the adventure of being alive”. – Oriah Mountain Dreamer
There have been many times in my life where I have been stuck and not known what to do next. I have agonised over what I should do or not do and whether I was making the right choices.
This state of not knowing what to do next applies to all of us, at any age and at different stages of our lives. Whether we are heading off to university, graduating, choosing our career path, recovering from heart break, being made redundant, or entering into retirement, we all have a point in our lives where we don’t know what to do next.
The answers or solutions we seek vary according to where we are at in our lives. A young graduate will  focus on answering this question in relation to their future and choosing the right career. A person entering into retirement will ask the question in the hope of solving the issue of doing something that has value in their life and a young mother recently divorced will be asking this question in the hope that she can find an answer that will enable her to survive another day.
Personally, I have discovered that following 5 steps will help you to find out what to do next in your life.

Power of vision

There is dominion for you on this earth, but you locate it by vision. Proverb 29:18.
